Aluminium
anodizing
Anodizing is an electrochemical process for aluminum products (abbreviated as ELectrolytic Oxidation of Aluminum).
It consists of forming a protective layer of aluminum oxide on the treated surface. This layer no longer oxidizes and thus protects the aluminum itself from oxidation. It is used for example in aviation (and automotive) production but most often in cases where aluminum is used in the exterior, eg aluminum windows etc. and the material is protected against weathering.
Warning for our customers !!!
Templates of orders of anodizing. The order must at least contain the required parameters. If not, we will not be responsible for any complaints concerning these parameters.
Anodizing
Anodizing finished aluminum (duralumin) products also increases the mechanical abrasion resistance of the surface layer in addition to increasing weather resistance. Reduced thermal and electrical conductivity, but also roughness, results in increased mechanical strength of the surface.
Also, the lifetime of anodized products is considerable higher. In addition to this protective function, the anodicity also has an aesthetic value, as it allows the surface of an anodized surface to be substantially accentuated, including its possible tinting. These can also be chemically saturated with dyestuffs.
How the anodizing is done
Aluminum anodizing is most commonly used in acidic solutions (organic acids, chromic acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid ...) in which the submerged products are oxidized in the presence of an electric current.
Aluminum alloying with other elements (Cu, Mg, Na, Si, Fe ...) is an impure aluminum alloy. Uncleaned alloys have the effect of worsening the anodizing process according to the proportion of impurities. Therefore it is necessary to take into account the class of aluminum material (2000, 4000, 6000 ...).
We offer anodizing in following designs
- hard anodizing 20 - 80 my (according to material and customer requirement)
- natural and satin anodizing 5 - 90 my (according to material and customer requirement)
- all these types of anodization can be dyed in black
The products are manufactured in accordance with MIL-A-8625, DIN 17611, ČSN EN 2536, ČSN EN 2284 and according to the technological process developed in our company.
Aluminum parts can be cleaned by picking (this method is particularly suitable before welding).
We offer perfect deburring, radius at the edges, removal of oxidation layer and various surface finishes. It is possible to process parts with surface treatment and foil without damaging the surface layer. Also suitable for parts with many holes where uniform deburring is ensured.
The working width is 1350 mm and we deburr parts from stainless steel, common steel, aluminum and its alloys, copper, zinc-plated parts and aluminum parts without breaking the surface layer.
