Electrolytic polishing is a method of chemical surface treatment in which metal is electrolytically removed from the surface of a metal object in the form of ions.

The polished surface of the material is mirror-shiny. The aim is to achieve the lowest possible micro-roughness. The resulting surface is non-staining, easy to clean and easy to get rid of any unwanted surface contamination.
